R.I.P Cookie

We are very sad to say that Cookie The Hamster is no longer with us.
He was a great hamster and too smart for his own good. He should have been named Houdini, for he was always getting out of his cage. Unfortunately, the last time he got out (even though the cage was VERY secure) ,Vergil the dog was waiting for him.
We will miss hearing him on his little wheel and how good he was with the children. He was always willing to be hand fed even if his cheeks were already bulging with food. The children loved it when Cookie would wheel over to see them work. He will be greatly missed.

Christmas Party

We had a wonderful Christmas Party. We played games, made Christmas presents,  and decorated our own cakes. We also did a gift exchange. It was so sweet to see the children so excited to give their gifts to their friends.
It was also very exciting to get the REAL Santa to come. He was wonderful and sat for about 30 minutes answering any and all questions, then each child got to sit on his lap and ask what they wanted for Christmas. Unfortunately he could only come in the afternoon, but we had a pretty good turn out to see him.
For anyone that was there and wants me to email them a copy of their child with Santa just email me at dtdemarcus@yahoo.com and I will get one to you.

Polar Express!

This was a big fun day for us! The kids got to wear their pajamas to school. When they got to school we started off with reading The Polar Express and then all of the kids got their own jingle bells (to see if they Believe), they also got tickets and got aboard the "train". The conductor (Principal David) punched their tickets and then we took off!
We had a break halfway through the movie for some hot chocolate and snacks, then headed back to watch the rest of the movie with some popcorn.

This year Jingle Belling (caroling) was VERY cold, but it just made the hot chocolate taste better! We finished up the day with some free play time.
